This was a required text for my BSN program. I did not like this book at all. No clear organization. It was really hard to discern what was important from what were examples. Very difficult to study for exams/quizes from this text. I would recommend purchasing the study guide as well.
This was one of the few textbooks that I have read where the material was presented clearly and concisely. The chapters were well organized, the material was thoroughly discussed, charts and graphs contributed to overall understanding of the content, and the application to practice was extremely relevant. I would find this a very valuable reference should I undertake the role of a research nurse.
Not enough examples to clarify the concepts (examples given are not creative enough to enhance understanding if its a concept that reader is completely unfamiliar with), uses the vocab word in the definition (for example, it's like saying: definition means to define a concept)
Would not recommend the kindle version. It's hard to read and hard to find the information you need. When searching for a word/phrase it would only find the first 100. It really needed an option to search chapter specific
