You can't read this book without bringing to mind how an adult affected your life as a child with either a word or an act. In turn, the person reading this book will be ever so conscious of how we treat a child. It made me think of the time I was only 4 years old (more than 70 years ago) and remembering one kind sentence a nurse spoke to me in the hospital after being hit by a car. I never saw her again, but I'll never forget her. This book is easy to read and hard to put down - but so powerful!

Such a great reminder that EVERY interaction with a child can breathe life, destiny, purpose, and encouragement into them, no matter how short that interaction is. I highly recommend anyone who is involved with kids-from teacher, to youth worker, to parent-take the time to digest this book.

This book says what should have been said for a long time on how children need to be viewed and treated. I don't think it's possible to read this book without changing the effect you have on the children (and probably adults) you come into contact with, maybe forever. A MUST READ FOR EVERY TEACHER!!!!!! This book contains many stories of lives changed by one person in one minute of time or less. Wow! What an impact this book will have over the years. How many lives will be changed from negative to positive by people just like you and me after reading this book and considering each contact with a child as important.

This is an excellent book for anyone who works with children to read. It is well written and very engrossing.

What a wonderfully inspiring collection of real moments in the lives of a variety of people. You will weep with joy and sometimes with sadness. You will think about those who touched you "for just a minute" and were marker points in your own life. It will encourage you to say that word or make that touch or smile that smile that just may make a difference in someone's life. It is a blessing of a book and I always recommend it to everyone!

This book will change your perspective on how important the interactions you have with children are I wish I had read this book before my children were grown. But I can still apply the lessons learned with my grandchildren.

Wess Stafford writes a compelling book that demontrates the importance of our words and actions in the life of our children. It only takes a few seconds to connect with a child in an uplifting manner that can breath hope and life into them. Highly recommend this book.
