I was reading Jewish history books and other theology books like Craig Keener when I saw a new author on my book page by the name of Jonathan Macnab with an offering on Adam, the first Creation of God. It turned out to be about Noah however. I read the reviews, all 5 stars bty. I was intrigued so I loaded the free sample...."what's to lose", I though? Ten pages in....I was hooked. Couldn't put it down. Awesome characters with a marvelous style of working in Bible truths during everyday conversations with Methuselah and his fascinating family. It was inspiring to say the least. Seriously, this is a gifted writer with a promising talent using the OT Scriptures for subject matter. Move over JRR Tolkien, here comes Johnathan Macnab with an imaginative mind who uses it like a master craftsman. Every word is woven into thrilling drama with lots of suspense and even some tasteful romance created for Japheth, Shem and Ham. He captures the reader with angelic sparring between fallen creatures and God's faithful angels. Battle scenes that are heart pounding and believable. It's just really great writing from a new fiction author who merits our attention. Keep them coming Jonathan! We, who love a good fiction book salute you. Really excellent!
I love this book. It's the Word and in fiction. The truth is not compromised at all. Excellent editing, well developed characters. Th struggles of faith the characters lived through, and their ultimate victory in the fact that God is ALWAYS faithful, that He is truth, even though we don't understand, and the He is always with is, really touched my heart.I love books with angels who fight demons, and win. This is a reality too many people refuse to acknowledge. Just because they wont believe doesn't mean it's not true or real. That the sad part. There's should be many many more books like this.Well done and I can't wait for the next book and in the series.
Many books are excellent stories and I give them four stars. If I want to re-read them because they are well written , carry a great story line (and since this follows man from Eden to the flood how can the plot be bad unless the author strays, which Macnab doesn't) and totally immersed me into the story -then it rates five stars. A fictional retelling does take liberties by adding characters and elements of possibilities to the story, but like all great fiction, it COULD have happened and this book makes you think the story from God's perspective.
This was a wonderful Biblical historical fiction. Once I began, I wanted to read until the end. Basically stayed true to the Bible and a logical fictional story was woven to show how the events of the flood could have happened. Loved the way the angelic host was portrayed and loved how this book showed God's love even to those who had forgotten Him and rejected Him and needed His mercy, as we all do.
Entertaining, faith-building adventure that leaves you feeling refreshed and blessed. Good book for the entire family. Nothing in it to offend little ears or minds.What a treasure to find that these days! Creatively brings to life the story of our beginnings as recorded in Genesis, while staying true to scripture.
This is an amazing book!!! I am so thankful I found it. It was such a great reminder how the enemy wants to destroy all Christians. We need to stay alert, and be on guard.The story was exciting and I love being right there as Noah built the Ark💙
I love the angels fighting for the lives of Noah's family. Building the ark was child's play. Bringing wives for each son was neat!
